So far as is my understanding, some omnipresent beings called 'the fair folk' found you, me and several others interesting, and stole us away.
Or at least tried to steal us away, but some other omnipresent being acting as a guardian intervened and managed to put us here rather than somewhere else. Something along those lines anyway.
